We’ll be performing on the Main Stage (beer garden) in Fremont’s Oktoberfest, Saturday September 21 at 1:15pm.
In an alternate world where dancing has been outlawed, the Ape made history…
I’m happy to announce another Fall Flute Recital:
Dusting off some old favorites including Bach and Poulenc Sonatas with piano, Griffes Poem, reprising The Jet Whistle flute-cello duet, and trying some crazy modern techniques in a short piece by Ian Clarke (which may remind you of Ian Anderson…) called Zoom Tube.
Kristine Anderson joins me on piano, Chris Worswick on cello.
Admission: $15 suggested donation.
Free parking in the Skyline garage in marked Trinity spaces.
If you can’t make this one (or hey, if you want to hear it again), we’ll be playing the program again Sunday, Oct 27 at Magnolia United Church of Christ (see post).
I’m excited to announce an upcoming Solo Flute Recital this Fall!
When: 2:00pm on Sunday, Oct 27, 2013
Where: Magnolia United Church of Christ, 3555 W. McGraw Street, Seattle
Also a brand new Lullaby, written in honor the expected bundle of joy, for alto flute, cello and piano.
Kristine Anderson joins me on piano, Chris Worswick on cello.
Admission is a freewill donation, all proceeds going to charity. A reception with desserts, coffee, and tea will follow the program.
If you can’t make this one, catch the same program on Sat. Oct 12 at Trinity in First Hill (see post).
I’ll be adding a little flute to the concert, playing the part of the bird in two arias with soprano Ya-Li Lee-Cheng, as well as performing a solo flute work by Pierre Octave Ferroud.
The Saturday evening concert will take place at Westminster Church in Bellevue. More details to follow.
**Check out the cello & flute video from the concert**
I’ll be playing at a house concert, joined by Chris Worswick on cello for The Jet Whistle by Villa-Lobos. Also on the program, Shostakovich String Quartet No. 8 and more, plus homemade waffles (that would fall under the Brunch part!). Friends of performers welcome to stop in, food starting at 2, music starting at 3, if you bring something edible to share. Contact me for more details!
The Young Artists Concerto Concert (SYAMFA) 2013 will be held at 7:30 pm this Saturday, May 11 in Kane Hall at the University of Washington. These six talented young soloists, backed by the Philharmonia Northwest Orchestra, will perform:

Rachmaninoff Rhapsody
