I’m excited to be joining the flute section for this Season Finale concert, featuring a bold and rhythmic Harp Concerto by Ginastera, and the timeless and powerful Symphony No. 5 by Shostakovich. Both composers created these works under pressure, and they communicate a message of struggle, hope and strength that is so relevant today. Alexandra Arrieche leads the Olympia Symphony Orchestra in a concert that will MOVE you!

They are so enjoyable to play – Shostakovich 5 is an old favorite of mine, and I am dazzled by Elizabeth’s harp playing as I get to know that piece!
